Warren Smigo and the H.E.A.T. Pro-Six team had a great year at Langley Speedway and finished third in the points championship. Although a win eluded us this year, we had one pole, three Second Place and ten Top Five finishes.

Congratulations, Warren, for receiving the “Sportsman of the Year” award from Langley at the end of the year banquet. Warren was interviewed twice after two of his Second Place finishes. He thanked H.E.A.T. and the Virginia State Police in his interview, asserting that cash awards can be obtained for auto theft tips.

Smigo will be showing the H.E.A.T. Pro-Six Race Car at the University of Virginia in University Hall Saturday, December 6th, during the State Championships of the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Tech Challenge. The FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is a mid-level robotics competition for high school students. FIRST is a non-profit, public charity that designs accessible, innovative programs and motivates young people to pursue education and career opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. It also builds self-confidence, knowledge, and life skills. They are expecting 600-700 participants and spectators at this event. Warren Smigo will be proudly representing H.E.A.T. at the event.
