Unfortunately, Burton’s second practice session time dropped by half a second. During the second practice Burton became concerned because the motor was running particularly hot. During qualifying the temperature intensified and Burton decided it was best to play it safe through the rest of the race and not damage the motor further by pushing it. In the following two races, the H.E.A.T. car finished 14th out of 15th. As always, the fans were great and several announcements were made about the H.E.A.T. Program.
