The HEAT program was established in 1992 to educate citizens and law enforcement about theft of vehicles and vehicle parts. HEAT supports local and state law enforcement through various auto theft prevention efforts.

Working with law enforcement

Working with citizens

Tips and up to $25,000 in rewards

Citizens who have information concerning the theft of vehicles, vehicle parts or chop shop operations may submit a form online or dial (800) 947-HEAT (4328). Tipsters may remain anonymous throughout the process and tips leading to arrests are eligible for rewards of up to $25,000.
